Job Description
Our fun and closely-knit Parks and Recreation Department is looking for a new team member: the Town of Kennebunkport is seeking applicants for the position of Parks & Recreation Programmer. Desirable candidates are outgoing, enthusiastic, and positive, with a passion for recreational activities and youth programs. Under the guidance of the Director of Parks and Recreation, the Programmer will design, organize, implement, and supervise a wide variety of recreational activities, special events, and programs independently or in collaboration with the department staff. 
 
A bachelor’s degree in recreation or a related subject and one to three years of progressively responsible experience in a municipal or private recreation position, or any equivalent combination of education and experience, is desired. This position requires schedule flexibility, with occasional evening and weekend programs.

  • Pay Rate – We ensure that our employees receive fair pay based on their skills and experience. Proposed pay range for the position is $28.00 - $35.00 (commensurate with experience).
